Combining heartfelt songwriting and an eye for a story, Brendan Smoother prides himself on songs that count for something and connecting with his audience through real experiences. His debut full length album IN THE MEANTIME is a testament to that, blurring the lines across country, folk and acoustic rock.
In recent times Brendan has enjoyed a N°1 country radio hit with ‘Gypsy Girl’ and top ten charting successes with the songs Burrumbuttock Hay Runners (winner ICMA 2019) a duet with multi-Golden Guitar winner Pete Denahy and Behind The Seen, which won the 2019 Tamworth Songwriters (TSA) Award for Country Blues. Prior to that, Contemporary Country Song Of the year with ‘Warning Signs’ in 2016. Also 2019 ‘Songs Alive Aust’ memorial song with ’Stretcher Bearer’ and a 2017 North Coast Entertainment Industry “Dolphin” award. Gaining ever more festival appearances this multi award winning songwriter has recently appeared at the Ballina CMF, Wyoming Roundup, Macksville Music Muster, Gympie Muster, Tamworth CMF and the Murgon Music Muster. |
