About Us
With five highly-regarded albums and music featured in documentaries such as John Pilger’s Utopia, Nhunggabarra, Kooma, Muruwari man and international touring singer-songwriter Glenn Skuthorpe is a masterful lyricist and composer who gives voice to those whose stories must be heard.

Whether on the main stage or around the campfire, Glenn is a generous and exciting performer whose playing style is captivating and enveloping, engaging audiences in the stories behind his songs.

Glenn has performed on stages big and small with some living legends in his long career including Buffy Sainte-Marie, Steve Earle, Tex Perkins, Kev Carmody, Archie Roach, Rory McLeod, Michelle Shocked, Buddy Miller and Mary Gauthier.

Glenn’s self-produced fifth independent album ‘See My World’ (released Feb 2017) is evocative of the wide-open road with its folk-rock sound infused with country and blues and undertones of mid-sixties and early seventies dirty melodic rock. It demands the listener lean in closer, get on their feet and come along for the ride.

Following best album nominations and a string of highly successful tours (Byron Bay Blues Fest, Woodford, Cygnet, Calgary and Edmonton Folk Festivals), Glenn will tour extensively throughout Canada and Australia with new album ‘Wild Winds of Dooga’.

"Skuthorpe has his own sound, his own style. He writes strong, emotional, storytelling lyrics. This album should be on turntables the world over.”

Aaron Badgley, Spill Magazine (CAN)
“See My World is a fittingly accomplished, fourteen-track-long distillation of Skuthorpe’s considerable talents and innate connection to the sounds and expanses of this broad, burnt land.”

The Music (AUS)
“Pulsing, thought-provoking contemporary roots music from a man who clearly cares deeply about his country and his craft.”

Michael Park, The International Americana Music Show (USA)
“With heartfelt lyrics and melancholy Celtic air you can almost smell the acrid smoke from a hundred campfires and see the blood staining the wattle.”

Cow Punk Quarterly (AUS)
"Glenn Skuthorpe’s music sings this country. When I hear his words and hear what he has to say, it’s this country singing back to us."

Alec Doomadgee, Zach’s Ceremony & Frontier Days Rodeo Festival (AUS)
"Skuthorpe is a songwriter who allows his songs to suggest their musical context rather than impose one or two directions to suit some perceived ‘style’ or genre…all delivered with understated, sometimes foreboding passion…and some great, unshakeable melodies."

Michael Smith, Rhythms Mag (AUS)
“I’ve followed Glenn’s songwriting for a while now. There’s a woody texture and earthiness in his voice, a flick in his guitar playing that appeals to me and an observation in his lyric that makes him an artist worth considering. Highly recommended.”

David Bridie, Wontok Musik (AUS)
Workshop: Glenn delivers songwriting and sound recording workshops to urban, regional and remote communities and to festival audiences.
