Shangri La is a jazz and blues duo performing an eclectic mix of blues, soul, gypsy jazz, stripped back 60s and 70s rock and retro pop creating a chilled feel good vibe.
Annas' velvet tones and Georges' mesmerising guitar skills enchant the audience with their beautifully crafted versions of 1930s French gypsy jazz, Jazz torch songs, Blues classics, a touch of Brazilian samba and a sprinkle of Hendrix, The Doors and The Mamas & the Papas. Shangri La is a mythical place where everyone is happy and eternally young - we hope our music takes you there! |

What We Bring

Shangri-La has a unique, stripped-back, chilled vibe that brings its' audience to the place of its' namesake. Our act appeals to everyone from the ageing hippy to Gen-Y hipsters that are just discovering some of the gems of the past.
George is a very accomplished musician and Anna was trained as a classical singer at the Conservatorium. We have performed at corporate events at Rochford Winery, Domain Chandon, Sandringham Yacht Club and Rydges Hotel to name a few. Typically our gigs are suited to outdoor sunny picnics and cocktail events and bars. |
