From the raw, roots-driven frequencies of Aotearoa (New Zealand) comes SUB-TRIBE
Packing thick with bottom end, glitchy beats and soaring harmonies. Expect to be taken on a journey across genres – from blues drenched dub, chunky skank reggae to jazzy hip-hop with a twist of ragga dancehall. SUB-TRIBE's musical journey began in 2017, supporting New Zealand dub pioneers, Salmonella Dub, on their summer East Coast tour in Australia. Since then, they have focused on writing and creating music while performing at events and festivals. Crafting their sound into what has been described as 'Unprecedented Dub-Fusion'. Early 2019 saw the release of their debut single 'Next Phase' a SUB-TRIBE signature sound of deep rolling bass and punching groove. Wasting no time, the crew headed straight back into the studio emerging a little while later with their second single ‘Who’s That’. A smooth, summer vibe that is all about that lover’s dub. August this year was a double celebration for SUB-TRIBE as they announced a new single accompanied by debut music video. The track simply titled 'Tribute' is exactly that. A clever and catchy 'Tribute' to the legend and pioneer of Reggae music, Mr Robert Nesta Marley. With a couple of months left this year, SUB-TRIBE still have more exciting announcements coming up. Stay tuned... |
