Born and bred in the backalleys of Brisbane and set loose out onto the open roads of Australia, Whisky Grinn are a fearsome four-piece who embody the spirit of dirty, good old fashioned, relentless rock n’ roll.
Brothers Zac (Lead guitar and vocals) and Brody Lynch (Bass) always shared a mutual passion for the roots of rock n’ roll, and formed Whisky Grinn in pursuit of a sound, vibe, and aesthetic that they felt had been lacking in rock music for a long time. Matt Mackenzie (Drums), who had a similar vision, very quickly joined to round out the line-up. The band have recently recruited Jack Flowers (ex-Zombie Creek and Cassowarys) on guitar, who lends a refreshing dimension of heaviness and energy to their performances. Whisky Grinn didn’t just want to capture the sound and attitude of rock n’ roll, they wanted to capture the soul of it too, as an unrelenting, hard-touring, live act. Where that’s concerned, they got off to a flying start, with an entire east coast tour of Australia as well as two sold out hometown shows in the space of just one year of their formation. But they didn’t stop there. The band then embarked on a month-long tour of the United States, playing in over fifteen locations, scoring themselves new fans and further establishing themselves as a tried and true touring act. |

As a band, we have an absolute dedication to live performance. Our main goal as band is to always to be playing. We have tried and tested ourselves across the musical landscape playing tours of the Australian East-Coast, and a round trip of America, always delivering an A game, high energy show. We ensure that every set we play everyone there is having the best time possible. Our music leans on a Classic Rock sound and as result, appeals to a wide audience meaning the band can fit in on a variety of lineups and be enjoyed by virtually everybody.
