About Us
|
Mantis Empire is a Pop/Rock/Reggae outfit.
Winners of Passport to Airlie Sunshine Coast, Mantis Empire blasted their way through high energy sets across the Airlie Beach Festival of Music. The coastal “juggernauts” in no time had captured the punters interests with their “Shadows style guitar work and more than just a bit of Santana thrown in...This music made for some perfect festival vibes...” The group have just released their latest single “Summertime” following their debut album “Spread the word” featuring popular tracks “Tell me the truth”, and “Red Alert”. |

"Meanwhile, Mantis Empire were reigning supreme at Beaches, with The Shadows style guitar work, and more than just a bit of Santana thrown in. Add to that great solos, some Elvis Costello-esque pop rock, a bit of a Ben Harper vibe with a little reggae/roots rock, and this music made for some perfect festival vibes. These four boys are from the Sunshine Coast, and it certainly showed with chilled out music like theirs. One number of Mantis Empire’s was called ‘Summertime’, and it was an appropriate song title if ever I’ve heard one."
