About Us
|
Shane Pacey is of course, the favoured son at many Australian Blues Festivals and Gigs. Perhaps best known as "the Guitar and Voice of The Bondi Cigars and The Foreday Riders", Shane is one of this country's finest Blues 'Triple Threats' - Singer, Guitarist AND Songwriter.
He's formed this red hot band, so he could have fun performing the short sharp style that came out of Chess Records in the '50s and '60s, as exemplified by the amazing guitar playing and singing flair of the great Peter Green. Shane and band, do it right! The Trio is a no-nonsense trip through the Blues back pages, all played with Shane's customary attack and passion. As Rock Journalist, Julie Fox wrote: "The Shane Pacey Trio reminds us why this music grabbed us by the throat all those years ago. It still has the power to re-energise and satisfy the soul." |
What We Bring
|
The Shane Pacey Trio brings to the stage a beautiful, clean, passionate sound. Shane Pacey is the ultimate showman - bringing the familiar Cigars Voice and impresario guitar work to the audience, for maximum satisfaction!
From a financials' point of view, perfect. Big sound and show with only 3 mouths to feed (and move around). This being part of the reason why The Shane Pacey Trio has Headlined Australia's best festivals. We enjoy traveling and want to "work" yours :) :) :) |

" "The Shane Pacey Trio’s second album, Watch Out!, has the Cigars’ frontman delving deeper into his blues roots in the company of drummer Dave Fester and bassman Paul Blasi. This format allows Pacey to stretch out and show the full range of his inventive, cliché-free guitar playing and soulful singing on songs written by various heroes. The Trio’s covers of Freddie King’s ‘See See Baby’, Big Bill Broonzy’s ‘Key To The Highway’, Jessie Mae Robinson’s ‘Cold Cold Feeling’ and Albert King’s ‘Don’t Burn Down The Bridge’ is especially dynamic. Pacey’s interpretation of Dylan’s oft-overlooked gem ‘The Groom’s Still Waiting At The Altar’ is another highlight." - Tony Hillier, Rhythms Magazine CD Review, July/Aug 2015 Issue |
" "I’m loving the new Shane Pacey trio album, ‘Watch Out’. I keep it in the car and play it everywhere I go. Congrats to Shane, Davo and Paul on a great Blues record." - David Keogh, Perfect Pitch, June 2015 See other feedback left on the Shane Pacey Trio website by reviewers and fans alike. - Shane Pacey Trio Website Reviews |
