Today, the Australian Government has announced bans on gatherings of more than 100 people indoors, and 500 people in outdoor settings in an attempt to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus throughout the Australian community.

In this environment, the majority of music festivals scheduled to occur in the coming weeks have been forced to cancel or re-schedule.

Music will find a way of course!  During periods like these, music plays such an important role in 'escaping' from the every day.  But right now, music festivals in their current format are being heavily impacted.

We're pretty sure that you know that all music festivals in the coming weeks and months are being impacted; that organisers are having to make difficult decisions around the viability of their festival; and that you will be looking after your own health by following the government directives.  The result of all  that, is that very few music festivals are likely to proceed in this environment.

Our music festivals calendar is in disarray!  Cancellations and postponements are coming through thick and fast - and rather than try to keep up to date in this extraordinary time, we've decided to suspend the maintenance of our calendar until the dust settles to avoid giving any misleading information.  If you've visited our website before, you'll notice that we've removed our state based music festival calendar pages for now.

Australians love their music festivals - this is a pause.  We'll restore our calendar pages when the dust has settled :)
