Thinking about New Year's Eve yet? Sydney Harbour Bridge fireworks? Nah, done that - plus it's too big, too crowded. Home with the family? Nah, no offence family, but that's just a bit too quiet. Time to do something different. Make this New Year's Eve truly memorable with a road trip into country Australia, with live folk music in intimate venues, and a weekend in a special Australian town rich with gold mining history. Gulgong Folk Festival 29th - 31st December, 2019 Gulgong, NSW Featuring The Bushwackers Australia's best-known, best-loved bush band, The Bushwackers, will head the bill at the Gulgong Folk Festival. The Bushwackers play proudly Australian music, much of it based on the traditional folk and working songs from the early 20th century but have seamlessly incorporated celtic instrumentals and great contemporary original songs like Leave It In The Ground, Another trip To Bunnings, Dirt Under My Nails, Beneath The Southern Cross, Henry’s Men and the iconic I Am Australian. Also appearing is Bethany Jolly, a fine singer-guitarist from Brunswick Heads and award-winning Luke Robinson, with a stunning bass voice, from Mullumbimby. More artists to come!
