Featured Hobart Music Festivals

We're currently featuring two Hobart music festivals - Right Now and Dark MOFO. 

​Right Now is being held just outside of Hobart in Glenorchy in early April and features Hilltop Hoods and some of the hottest acts you can find in Australia 'right now' (See what we've done there?).  If the Hilltop Hoods aren't enough on their own, you'll be blown away when you find they'll be joined by Dope Lemon, Holy Holy, Thelma Plum, Chillinit, Adrian Eagle and Tasmania’s own Maddy Jane!

Dark Mofo is a Tasmanian festival that celebrates the depths of Hobart's dark winter in June.  With a strong music program - featuring Bon Iver this year - Dark Mofo also includes a winter feast, light installations and a nude winter solstice swim (if you're game!).

Featured Music Festivals in Regional Tasmania

Combine Tasmania's beautiful regional locations with live music, and you really can't go wrong.  Our suggestion?  Make a weekend of it and explore the region and what is has to offer while you're there :)

StringFest takes place in the stunning setting of Deloraine in Northern Tasmania in April over three days, and is a celebration of unique Tasmanian timbers, fine craftsmanship, stringed instruments of all types and music.  StringFest brings together the instrument makers, some of Australia's leading musicians and ensembles to play them, and you the music lover.

​Derwent Valley Autumn Festival is held at New Norfolk in April - just a short drive up the Derwent river from Hobart.  The festival is located on the banks of the Derwent and boasts "one of the most picturesque settings anywhere in the State".  Music across four stages, crafts, arts and fine food - it's a great weekend away for couples or for the family.  (It is a one day festival, but we really recommend enjoying New Norfolk for the weekend.)
